August 3, 2012 | By More

The Second Annual Family Table event kicking off Farmers Market Week in Virginia, and Restaurant Week in Fredericksburg City, will be held at Hurkamp Park this Saturday, August 4. The Farmers Market is open from 7am-2pm and activities in the park will begin at 10am.

The First Saturday Expanded Farmers Market has been very popular this year, and once again Prince Edward Street will be closed and additional vendors will be on hand.

The oversized LOVE letters have been making their way around the state and will be in Hurkamp Park Saturday. Please stop by and snap a family photo! You can share your photo through Facebook and Twitter. Find out how here!

Activities will include watermelon and tomato tastings, farm-to-table activities from the Cobblestone Children’s Museum and feature nationally known fruit and vegetable carver James Parker of VeggyArt.

The fun will continue during the week with special menus from local restaurants. Find out more about pricing and participating restaurants here.
