The George Washington Regional Commission (GWRC) is applying for grant funds from the USDA’s Farmers Market Promotion Program to assist in the promotion and management of the Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, and King George farmers markets.  Funds will also assist with the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly Food Stamp) bonus program, with which SNAP customers coming to the market receive up to $10 in bonus tokens to spend at the market when they use their SNAP cards.
